What is Roto Online Ink?
What "Online" Means
Online printing means the ink is applied directly on the pipe production line — while the pipe is still being manufactured. No separate printing step. No handling the finished pipe again. The ink wheel prints as the pipe exits the extruder.

DRYING CONTROL
Control Drying Speed with Ink Aid Reducer
Pipe production lines run at high speed. The ink must dry fast enough to avoid smearing — but not so fast it dries on the printing wheel itself. Ink Aid reducer lets you match drying speed exactly to your line speed and environment.
Ink Aid Fast (F)
Use when: High-speed production lines, air-conditioned factory, cold weather
Effect: Fastest drying — ink sets before next pipe section passes
Ink Aid Medium (M)
Use when: Standard production speed, normal factory temperature
Effect: Balanced drying — most commonly used for pipe printing
Ink Aid Slow (S)
Use when: Hot weather, summer months, high humidity, slow production lines
Effect: Slower drying — prevents ink drying on wheel between prints

Is Your Ink Not Performing on the Line?
The two most common problems in pipe printing — ink smearing on the pipe, or ink drying on the wheel itself — are almost always caused by the wrong Ink Aid reducer grade. The fix takes minutes, not hours.

Ink Aid is the reducer used with Roto Online Ink to control drying speed on the production line. Ink Aid Fast (F) is for high-speed lines and cold environments. Ink Aid Medium (M) is for standard line speeds and normal factory conditions. Ink Aid Slow (S) is for hot weather, summer months, or slower production lines. Wrong reducer choice is the most common cause of smearing or wheel clogging.

Shelf life is 1 year from date of manufacture when stored properly — in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap tightly closed.

Smearing usually means the ink is not drying fast enough for your line speed. Switch to Ink Aid Fast (F) reducer. If you are already using Fast reducer, reduce the amount of reducer in the mix slightly. Contact us with your line speed and we will advise the exact ratio.
Ink drying on the wheel usually happens in hot weather or when line speed is slow. Switch to Ink Aid Slow (S) reducer. This is especially common during Indian summer months. Contact us with your city and factory conditions for a specific recommendation.
